Gulp Hablo Orange Wine

Gulp Hablo is a project between the Parra family of Bodegas Parra Jiménez and winemaker Juan Antonio Ponce, farming organically and biodynamically in Castilla-La Mancha. The name is a play on "gulpable", and the orange is a 1-liter bottle made from equal parts Verdejo and Sauvignon Blanc, left on the skins for about a week.

Aromas of orange blossom and tropical jackfruit lead to a textured palate of dried citrus peel, tea, and preserved apricot, with moderate tannin. The wine is Demeter-certified biodynamic and vegan, with 11.5% alcohol. Pour it with roasted vegetables, spicy dishes, or simply on its own.
